Reconstitution means bringing a lyophilized material into solution. Vial contents, diluent volume and concentration are different quantities.

Concentration = total amount ÷ final solution volume. Corresponding volume = target amount ÷ concentration. 1 mg = 1,000 µg. A U-100 scale has 100 units per mL: these are volume markings, not a universal peptide amount.
